Happy Haircut!

Probably the most drastic haircut I've had in about 5 years, I finally went short! I thought that I would do something crazy and different (well, crazy for me) while I was in San Francisco. So I went to a stylist named Yorque who is an interesting character from Dusseldorf, Germany. Yorque is in his mid-40s, has a long messy grey ponytail, and usually wears cowboy boots with tight leather pants. He's a bit on the eccentric side, but he definitely knows how to cut hair. After going over what I wanted, and looking at a few photos I brought in of potential haircut options, Yorque went to work. He did the entire haircut using a razor blade! It was pretty crazy. I definitely was in shock after realizing just how much hair he actually cut off. I literally have not had short hair in 5 years, so this is a big change. I think I was most shocked by the way he styled it afterwards too. As I walked home, I kept looking at my reflection in the mirror and thinking that I resembled either David Bowie or one of the New Kids on the Block. I even had a little mullet in the back. Have to admit, I was a little worried. However, I quickly realized that my concerns were mostly due to the way that Yorque styled my hair, and not how he cut it. After taking a shower and styling my new head of hair, I really really like the final result. This may be one of the best cuts I've had in a long time. And all my fears about having short hair were quickly put to rest - the biggest being that it wouldn't compliment the shape of my face. Here are some picks of my new look. Let me know what you think!
