It's been a while

It looks like I haven't written on here for quite some time. Just wanted to update you all on my whereabouts. So I think I really have settled into my work for the summer. I'm really enjoying the whole 9 to 5. It's great to come home at the end of the day and not have to worry about homework or reading assignments or group projects. This summer is really going to spoil me. And I really like my commute to work, even though it is a little convoluted. I walk about 6 or 7 blocks from my house to the bus stop, than catch any of 3 buses that pass by. Next I ride the bus 7 blocks up to the subway station and take that 5 stops, which is about 5 miles. All in all I get to work in about 20 minutes, which is awesome considering how long that commute takes me in a car in Atlanta without me having to transfer my mode of transportation 3 times. I pretty much love my job, so much that I have even found myself there accidentally staying late, just plugging away at my projects. I wish I could post here what I am working on, but seeing as to how we're trying to publish some papers on this topic I have to keep my big mouth shut. I can tell you that I think I have done more SAS this past week and a half than I have in the entire year we were all at school! But seriously, thank you Prof. Weiss because I am kicking some serious SAS ass! I'm definitely learning alot, and I'm so thankful that this is the position I chose to take for the summer. My coworkers are so friendly and welcoming, and the office environment is super chill. Today I am going to feel more than comfortable walking in wearing a t-shirt and jeans, and my incredibly warm wool clogs I recently purchased to fight off the bitter San Francisco cold from attacking my poor feet. The weather is less than desirable, but my friends here keep telling me that I'll get used to it. I doubt it. It's no fun wearing a jacket ALL THE TIME. I've given up hope of getting a great tan this summer. Darnit. Ok, 8:06am right now and almost time to walk to the bus stop to wait for the zero emissions bus. Yay! Good luck Emily and Lakshmy in your trip to the Dark Continent (is that still fashionable to say?). I hope you all arrive in Kigali safely. Hasta la proxima...
